Electrician Apprentice

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Electrician Apprentice to assist with electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work in light residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This position is an opportunity to learn and develop electrical skills while working alongside experienced electricians and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

• Run and terminate electrical wire and cable.

• Install conduit, fittings, junction boxes, switches, receptacles, lighting, panels, and other electrical components.

• Assist with residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring.

• Read and follow electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

• Assist with troubleshooting electrical equipment and circuits.

• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and other electrical equipment safely.

• Help with installation and maintenance of motors, controls, starters, disconnects, and other industrial electrical equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all OSHA, electrical-code, company, and job-site safety requirements.

• Work safely around energized and industrial equipment under the direction of qualified personnel.

• Assist with general maintenance and mechanical tasks when needed.

• Learn proper electrical installation practices and continue developing skills toward becoming a qualified electrician.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn the electrical trade.

• Previous electrical or construction experience is preferred but not required.

• Basic understanding of hand and power tools.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

• Ability to work safely in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas when required.

• Ability to lift, carry, and handle electrical materials and tools.

• Valid driver's license preferred.

Work Environment

Work may include residential construction, commercial buildings, industrial plants, equipment installations, maintenance facilities, and other job sites. The position may require travel to different job locations and occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency work depending on project requirements.

Career Opportunity

This position provides hands-on experience in multiple areas of electrical work, with the opportunity to advance from Apprentice Electrician to Journeyman Electrician and eventually Lead Electrician or Electrical Technician based on experience, training, and performance.
