Plant Maintenance Personnel
Plant maintenance personnel work to keep equipment operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.Typical responsibilities include:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
- Repair and replacement of bearings, belts, motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other components
- Conveyor and material-handling system maintenance
- Lubrication, alignment, and equipment inspections
- Welding, cutting, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs
- Electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical maintenance
- Equipment installation and removal
- Emergency breakdown response and repairs
- Maintaining a safe and organized work area
- Documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
