Employment Recruiter – Highway & Civil Construction & Materials
Truerock is a growing highway/civil construction & materials company seeking a motivated and results-driven Employment Recruiter to support our expanding workforce. This role is critical to identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified construction professionals to meet project demands across our operations.
Position Summary
The Employment Recruiter will be responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process for field and operational roles, including skilled and non-skilled positions. This individual will work closely with management and project teams to ensure timely staffing while maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage recruitment strategies for:
- Estimators
- Project managers
- Material sales personnel
- Laborers
- Equipment operators
- Plant operators
- Survey crews
- CDL drivers
- Mechanics & maintenance personnel
- Skilled and non-skilled construction professionals
- Create and manage job postings across multiple platforms (online job boards, social media, industry sources, etc.)
- Actively source candidates through networking, referrals, and outreach
- Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for skills, experience, and cultural fit
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and assist with hiring decisions
- Manage offer letters, onboarding coordination, and pre-employment requirements
- Maintain accurate recruiting records and hiring metrics
- Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives as needed
- Promote the company as an employer of choice within the construction industry
Qualifications
- Previous recruiting experience is required; construction, highway, or civil experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of construction trades, equipment roles, and CDL requirements a plus
- Strong communication, interviewing, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
